Organizers find unique resources to help clients
My mind races with blogging ideas, and I’ll say to myself that I want to develop a blog post various topics. But sometimes there’s just not time to pull it all together, but I still want to share the thoughts. So today, I’m just going to share a couple of quick resources available for unique client needs.
National Odd Shoe Exchange (N.O.S.E.) - http://www.oddshoe.org – In my Professional Organizer’s networking group I just learned about this not-for-profit service that was founded in the 1940s to serve polio survivors. This organization continues today providing the “odd” shoe needs of amputees, or people with odd sizes.
Green Disk – www.greendisk.com – Do you have old VHS tapes that you’d like to erase and destroy without adding to landfills? You may know of a local resource in your area that disposes of some technologies, as I do in my local area, but they don’t handle all types of technology and media. Green Disk handles all sources of “Technotrash”. Here is what Green Disk offers, as described on their website:
“GreenDisk offers a convenient, comprehensive set of services to help individuals and organizations reduce the expense and the environmental impact associated with obsolete technology. GreenDisk handles all your technotrash disposal needs from a CD to a PC and just about everything in between.”
Here’s a link to a list of media types they handle: Items Green Disk Disposes of
That’s it.
I plan to compile a list of many types of resources for the needs of those reducing, organizing and/or downsizing, but for now, here are a few unique resources for you.
